A year ago, we launched an entirely new Yahoo Mail experience with an organized, clean look and feel, outstanding speed, and a host of awesome features such as personalized color themes, emojis in email, easy access to hard-to-find photos and documents that might be buried in your inbox, and Yahoo Mail Pro.  

The feedback from you, our Yahoo Mail members, has been overwhelmingly positive and is invigorating our team of engineers, designers, and marketers to push harder in building the best features.

Today, we’re adding even more top-requested features and improvements to Yahoo Mail, including:

• Photo Themes - This was one of the most consistently-requested features. Now you can personalize your inbox theme with a selection of custom-designed illustrations.

• RSVP Cards - You can now see calendar invite details within your email and RSVP directly.
  

• Vacation Responses - For those of you going on spring break or vacation, we have added richer formatting to vacation responses. You can now add Stationery and GIFs to truly express how out of office you are!

• New performance and stability improvements including
• 50% reduction in JavaScript exceptions
• 20% reduction in overall API failures
• 10% improvement in page load performance
• 40% improvement in frame rendering time
