Recently, we introduced a new desktop search experience for Yahoo Mail in the U.S. that lets you find messages, photos and other attachments by typing in a sender’s name. Beginning today, you’ll find the same capabilities in Yahoo Mail for iPhone and Android as we aim to deliver the easiest, most efficient email search experience on mobile.
As you start typing a name, Yahoo Mail offers smart search suggestions — including both people and messages — to help you narrow down your search.
Once you’ve selected a name, Yahoo Mail filters your search results by messages, files or photos so you can breeze through hundreds of emails in just a few taps. Select “Emails,” “Files” or “Photos” to flip between lists of messages, files or photos.
If you’re searching for specific photos, tap through the beautiful, Flickr-inspired gallery to view a full-size image.
This new view is available for iPhone users in the App Store today and will be rolling out to Android phone users in Google Play over the next couple of days. It’s just part of our effort to bring you the best email search experience across desktop and mobile. Stay tuned for more!

A couple of weeks back when we launched the new Yahoo Mail for iPhone, our goal was to put all the information you care about right at your fingertips. In addition to checking email more frequently, we’re seeing that iPhone users are spending more time in the app - browsing news, sports, videos and much more.
Beginning today, we’re bringing that new experience - with the same one-tap access to personalized, real-time news and information - to Android. Go ahead and check email, read the news, search, look up the forecast, catch up on sports, watch videos and browse Flickr, all in the same place, without the hassle of switching between apps.
The new Yahoo Mail comes with a couple of features that are unique to Android. Simply swipe left or right or tap the relevant icon in the upper right-hand corner of your screen to quickly and seamlessly move between your inbox, news stream, and Today.
And the Today icon displays the local weather, sports scores, news headlines, popular videos and stunning photographs, thanks to a new Flickr integration.
The new Yahoo Mail for Android is available in Google Play today, and the News and Yahoo Today experience will be rolling out to all supported devices over the next few days. We hope you enjoy it!
The app is now available in select international markets as of August 6., 2014.

There’s lots of reasons why you might have more than one Yahoo! Mail account. Perhaps you’ve gotten married and want to hang on to your email address with your maiden name, or maybe you like having your favorite daily deal newsletters sent to a separate mailbox. Whatever the reason, beginning today, we’re making it possible for you to access all of your Yahoo! Mail accounts through Yahoo! Mail for iOS and Yahoo! Mail for Windows 8, in addition to Android.
It takes just a few easy steps to add another Yahoo! Mail account to your iOS or Windows 8 device. To get started, log into the Yahoo! Mail app with one of your Yahoo! IDs.
Once you’re logged in, tap on the sidebar button (icon with three purple bars) to pull up your existing Yahoo! ID, then tap the plus sign to add another account.
The sign-in screen will pop up, where you can enter your Yahoo! ID and password. Once you’re done, tap “Sign In”.
Your additional account has now been added! Simply tap on the sidebar button to switch between your Inboxes.
We hope this makes managing your inboxes a little easier. Let us know what you think!
Note: Signing out is now part of Settings. To sign out of any account, please tap on the sidebar button (icon with three purple bars) in your Inbox, scroll down to Settings, and choose “Manage Accounts”.
