Spring is around the corner, and what better way to start your spring cleaning than with your email? Whether it’s filing away last year’s messages or using Calendar and Notepad to make plans for a summer vacation, we are excited to announce three updates to your inbox that will make it easier to stay organized.
The first has been the most requested change in our user feedback forum: improving and simplifying how you work with folders in your inbox. Folders now remain visible at all times on the left side of your inbox so you can quickly find what you’re looking for or file messages. You can also hover over “Folders” and click on “+” to create a new folder.
Next, we’ve made navigating between the tools in your inbox (Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Notepad and Messenger) much easier. You’ll find icons for these apps located to the upper left of your inbox, just above the compose button. If you use tabs, this change gives you the extra space to fit in more tabs.
Finally, we’ve made the Messenger buddy list and chat windows more flexible when you’re multi-tasking - they now float in a window on top of Yahoo Mail. Once you’ve finished a conversation, just click the “X” to close the chat window.
That’s all for now: three useful updates to your inbox. We’re rolling these out to all Yahoo Mail users around the world over the next couple of days.
We’re listening closely to your feedback, and we’re excited to share a number of new updates and enhancements in the coming weeks. Please keep your thoughts coming.
